Applying anti rust to Exhaust headers
Greetings Friends, I am planning to spray some anti rust solution to the Exhaust headers from further corrosion. Is it advisable? Any chances of fire because of excessive heat?
Please share any of your experiences/thoughts.

Tell us more about it. Who makes it, what's in it, where'd you get it, etc. Sounds like snake oil to me, unless it's baked on (which it will be soon enough....) Let us know the details before you jump in.
The product is called Engine Brite available at pepboys? It says it applies a thin coat of some solvent which is a rust inhibitor (that is after I remove the rust).
If I should stay away from this then what are my options for applying anti rust solvents to super heated areas?
Thanx!

From my understanding, cars usually have headers ceramic, powdercoated or Jet Coat (http://www.jet-hot.com/Pages/coatings.html). Ceramic coating doesn't hold up that well, but haven't experienced powder coating or Jet Coat, but a few friends swear by Jet Coat.
