hey all..

my buddy just bought a 95 zx7. He got a set ofLED flush mount markers for the front. and in the rear is a set of lockhart philip short stocks non LED. so now they dont flash....

Is there a resistior thatI need?? let me know what I need to do to make them flash/blink

Yup. LED's have such a low electrical load that you must use an inline resistor to simulate a regular bulb.

You put it in, and they still won't blink? Maybe a heavier resister is needed.

 

So are they on all the time or off all the time. If off how about checking the fuse?

 

LED's won't come on if polarity is reversed unlike a regular bulb that will.

the flasher needed to see 3-5 amps intill it would turn on.
I got a 1 amp LED flasher from my local autoparts store and they blink now !!

The LEDs were only drawing 25.0 mil amp. about 1/4 of a amp, and the rear lights (non LED) are drawing 1.2 amps so now the new flasher is seeing 1.6 amps total !!
