while i was riding around yesterday my speedometer quit working, along with the odometer (this can't be legal.......) but anyway everything else works well, all the other gages work, engine runs fine, gears shift fine, just speedo quit working and odometer doesn't rack up miles. theres a black cable coming off the left side of the front rim that is hanging on the ground and i'm assuming that is what the problem is; so does anyone know where this cable connects to? i just got this bike like two months ago so i haven't gone in depth with it yet. thanks in advance!

 

the cable screws in to the thingy on the front rim. then screws in to the back of the speedo. somtimes when that comes unscrewed the cable will fall out, and just the housing is left.
