spark comes and goes , at times will start , but after rev dies , already replaced coil. help please

 

Dont know what a 300 bayou is, but a more detailed description of the problem would be nice. If it starts then its obviously firing so it should be getting spark. If it idles but dies on rev it sounds more like a fuel problem, possibly an over rich mix? I'd start with the carbs. There should be no reason for the spark to work fine, then cut out on rev unless its some sort of safety feature. If the ECU doesnt get a signal from one of the sensors after startup it may cut off the spark, but as I said I dont know what your working on so I cant be any more helpful. Welcome to KF. Not exactly sure either. However, fuel level is a big thing along with fuel pump pressure. What about the fuel filter? Just tossing some ideas out your way. Good luck.
