Hey there! I recently picked up an 82 KZ440. I am noticed the shifter lever seems to have to be popped down (to 1st gear) pretty hard to go into gear. If I apply lighter pressure the transmission just clicks and doesnt want to go into 1st. I am not sure how hard I should have to press down to feel the clutch is not damaged in any way. I have had other bikes that seemed to be entirely easier to put into 1st gear.

Is there anything I should be looking for here? Thanks for the help in advance!
