Question 2004 Vulcan Drifter 800

I have a 2004 Vulcan Drifter 800, today while riding it the oil and water lights came on and didn't go off, I checked the oil and water both are at the proper levels and the fan does turn on and off.
Can someone give me some ideas as to what the problem might be please?

Test your meter unit and connections. I am looking on my 08 unit but I do not have an 04 manual so it may be different and you really need a manual for your ride. But yes, test you sensors as well and post up your resistance on the water temp sensor. @212 deg =1,136k ohms in my manual.
