Default 20 year old bike

I just got a 85 gpz ninja 600r its liquid cooled 16 valve. It leaks some oil, and my question is should i flush the motor. its been sitting for a few months. i got it started and running. the carbs are gunked up. I put some carb cleaner in the gas tank to open it up a lil bit. But am i able to use carb cleaner that i can use on cars and am i able to flush the motor with the same stuff i can flush a car with?

Thanks
Ryan

Absolutly NOT> Carb cleaners for cars , if used on motorcycles will melt your rubber seals and your rubber intake manifolds.. Be careful what you flush your engine with. Make sure it's motorcycle approved. I used a carborator cleaner I bought from Automotive store and it melted my intake manifolds and made the carbs worse

May sound crazy but I hear of people flushing out their engine with diesl fuel(as oil). Just crank it a couple of times but don't start it don't have the spark plugs in. They did that cause the bike was underwater.
