Default 1998 Zx 9R Running horrible in cold

I have had my bike for a few years now and it has always ran horrible in the cold. I think I remember hearing its because it didnt have heat rails or something installed in the carbuearators for that year, but I heard it was recalled. If this is true would I be able to have the dealership do it for free now so many years later or would it cost me a fortune. Thanks.

welcome to the forums, How cold is cold? Plus the recall, did you try to google it to find out, or even call the stealership, they should be able to tell you if it has a recall

Welcome to the forums ninja16
"Heat rails?" I have not even heard of that term or part.
Unless you have water in the bowls that would freeze, or setup carbs, that thing should be in heaven with the heavier air. You should be questioning on how to get traction.
