1986 BR250 help

Default 1986 BR250 help

hi
ive just been given a 1986 Kawasaki Br250A. apprenently it floods and leaks fuel once started but i havent been able to start it as it needs a battery any way my question is what battery do i need and any help or tips on what to look for with the leaking carby would be great.

go to walmart they have a little computer at the end of the battery isle. type in your make /model and it will tell ya. carbs i would drop the float bowls check float adjustment and put back together. you will need new float bowl gaskets too. welcome to KF

Sticking or punctured float or shagged float needle valve. I'd strip and clean the carb(s) if it's been standing for a long time - might be all that's needed anyway. Make sure the jets are clean and unobstructed by gunge.
