Default 09 zx6r backfiring

I have a 2009 zx6r and it has a m4 full exaust on it and and it pops when i let off the throttle when it gets about below 4000 rpms I dont know if i should just deal with it or get a power commander or what

the full exhaust needs the PC! at the track tho you get used to it.

agreed, use a programmer and fine tune your engine as a package. You may still get some small popping if you chop the throttle. good luck and enjoy

what do you do with the wiring that plugs into the stock exhaust after you put on a aftermarket one do you just eliminate the wiring?

I do not have the 09 manual in front of me, but I would think that tucking the wires back is ok, since it tells the ecu what the exhaust valve position is. Program your fuel map to compensate to fine tune it.
