Default 06 ZX6R wont start

Hey guys i am new here and have a problem with my 2006 636 ninja that isnt starting. I have had this sitting over the winter and went to start it the other day, I noticed the battery was dead so I got it push started and relaized it wasnt wanting to run. It was idleing rough. I figured bad gas so I let it run for about 5 minutes came back and noticed the bike was at 260 degrees so i turned it off. Over the weekend I got it in the garage and charged the battery. I noticed it was very low on fuel, almost empty. I thought maybe I let it run empty and I might have air in the lines. I put new fuel in the tank and still nothing. It would crank but no start. It almost felt like it was trying to start though. From here I replaced the spark plugs and still the same thing. I checked the fuses and they were all good. I pulled the tank and checked to see if fuel was coming from the pump and it was. I didnt pressure test it though. I pulled the air filter cleaned it, and also sprayed ether in the airbox and it started. From here I am confused on what the issue could be. Any suggustions?

First of all Welcome to KF

This has to be a typo

260 degrees?

Ok, the engine turned over and started using either. So no more useage of that.

If you are correct on that temp, I would be checking the stat and fan circuit. Not sure if the ecu would need to be reset or what. I need to look. and no FI codes?

ok, test your water temp sensor and test your gauge per 16-95 of your factory manual.

or even check the connector to see if it is loose.

You do have a manual right?

ECU resistance- 68 F 2.46kohm terminals 1-3
176 F .32k ohms
230 F .1426k ohms

I do not have a manual, I plan to get one this weekend. when I got the bike to start the first it was after I pull started it durer to a dead battery. It was running rough so I let it run for about five minutes and seen it was overheating so I turned it off. I do believe it got to 260. I checked the coolant and it was a little below the low line. I figure it was just low on coolant. Once I got it to the garage I couldnt get it to stay running on its own. This is when I used the ether to get it started. So I do not believe its getting fuel. Possible fuel filer, pump or injector.

You can check in the General Discussion for manuals for your ride as well.
