06' 636...
It's got 764 miles on it, and every since the first oil change, I've noticed a raspy sound comming from the engine at high RPM's that doesn't sound quite right, as well as a .... tight, almost restricted feeling from the engine, as best I can describe it. The whole experience reminds me of a gimped version of hitting rev limiter, minus the stuttering. Any input would be appreciated.
I also noticed a strange noise which sounds like something is turning on that seems to originate from my gas tank of all places, while the bike is off after I've been riding, it definitely sounds electrical, and the noise came on again about every 4 minues about 6 times that I noticed today, it was bugging my friend to death and we never figured out exactly what it is.

I know some people have problems with their clutch after changing their oil..maybe your experiencing something similar...I'd recommend just trying a different kind.
I've heard bad things about changing the type (ie. between regular and synethic) so try to find out what you had in it from the start and just keep using that.
Also what kind of warranty did you get with it? This is bull**** and you should just bring it back and demand them to fix it.

The restricted feeling and the noise from the engine seem to start in around 10krpm, it's not really loud, and it kind of feels like the engine is trying to push past something, I've just been shifting through it, as I've planned on going to a different brand of oil at 1k miles, I put Kawachem in it at 500, I'll definitly keep it synthetic. I only have noticed the symptoms in first and second gear, and it's not consistant.

The noise at 10,000 is your clutch lever vibrating. I had the same and thought it was an electrical short. Put your fingers over the lever and try again ... you'll see the noise goes away. It was anoying at first, but I now use it as an indicator for where I'm in the rev range. I shift as soon asn i hear it ... or stay on the gas for a couple seconds extra for SUPERPOWER!!!
