04 head light bulb number
Ive looked around to try and find this out and all i can find is that the head lights are a H4. Does any one know if the part number would be a 9004 or 9006? My car uses H4 but there are several diffrent types of H4. Any help would be great.
Im pretty sure yours is a H7 bulb like my 06 636
My sister has a 04 636 in i think hers is the H7 as well. i just looked at hers last week.
if you pull one of your headlight bulbs out they are all stamped with the part # H4, or H7, or 9006, or 9005. so on, & so on.
just make sure you dont touch the glass on the bulb it self.
i am almost positive you have two H7s

Head light basics (composite bulbs)
9004 and 9007 (double filament bulbs) look the same but the filaments are the opposite.
A H4 and 9003 is the exact same bulb. They are also a double filament bulb. (sorry markmeinteil two numbers same bulb)
All the rest of the numbers are different bulbs.
9006 is usually a low beam bulb on a four headlight system, and 9005 is the high. They are both a single filament bulbs.
A H7 is a single.
Now you talk about straight and bent plugs. Some bulbs like 9005, 9006, & a few others with a plastic base, the standard plug is at a 90 deg angle. You can purchase most of these with a straight plug in. just add an xs to the end of the part number. Like 9006XS or 9005XS
Back to your 9004 bulb it only has one style plug in (three wire). There is only one style H4. They do come in different wattage and colors.
The H7 is the same style only has a two wire plug and is smaller in diameter. This is what should be in your bike. pull your stock bulb it will have the part # on it or call your dealer they should also tell you.
You can do a H4 conversion to your bike. Look in the DIY section of the forums. This will give you two low beam lights and two high beam lights. Very sweet
Have any other questions post away.
