Zx7/ no spark

Default Zx7/ no spark

1993 zx750 has no spark I replace the pickup coil all the wiring is correct I'm getting power to the coils but no spark coming out of them I haven't replaced the CDI box could that be what's out let me know thanks guys

Sounds like the CDI is not grounding the coils to induce a spark.
Check your Pick up Coil for resistance and ground.
Check side stand switch.
Check clutch switch
Check Neutral light is on.

I also have a 93 ZX7 my issue is I'm getting 12 volts to the coils I have neutral light on the wiring was a mess when I got it so I didn't have a side switch that I can locate I grounded the green wire on the CDI box okay my push button start on the handlebars will not engage and make it turn over what am I missing here guys I've been working on this thing for 3 days my eyes hurt from reading if anybody has a simple answer I would gladly be thankful

Make sure you Ground the right Green wire at the CDI as there is 2.

Green with black stripe. 🤦🏻I hope! Lol👍.
Still can't get the thumb bottom to turn it over . Mite order one of them start / run off switchs tonight.

Well I'm now getting fire. New coils . Still won't start tho . I have spark fuel and compression . . And starting fluid . But the bike will not crank Only will turn over.

Seems I have spark but too week to spark under pressure in the cylender. Tryingbto get it to the shop today
