Default A Wreck!

Not me but my 12 YO son. He was going 30 mph on his pocketbike (thats capable of 65-70 mph), and hit loose gravel. He was wearing his helmet but didnt have on gloves. I ordered him a pair online 2 days ago and they havent got here yet. He is a good rider, but I told him repeatedly about rock and I guess today was a good lesson for him since he didnt get hurt too bad. Hurt his pride more than anything I think. Bike didnt get messed up too bad. Heres a few pics. Feel free for any comments as I am going to let him read what you all have to say so he understands the severity of this accident. Thanks guys and gals!

It doesnt take much to really get hurt.... i am into mountain biking too, i was riding down a sidewalk and jumped off a curb, and the front tire didnt have the proper amount of air in it and when i landed the bike came out from under me and i landed hard on my right elbow and shoulder, on asphalt, got a big patch of road rash on my elbow, and messed up the palmof both hands pretty bad.i was probably going like 15 mph, with out a motor... so if your on a pocket bike that will do 65.... need to wear as much gear as every other rider... your pocket bike goes just as fast as my dirt bike..... lol... can never wear too much gear....

Glad to hear that the ride and the boy are intact. Congrats.

A low speed rash hurts just as bad as a high speed one so wear gear and use your mind/capabilities.

get back on that thing and show that bike whos boss. gear up first. i learned the hard way, adults in a large group, all with 10 plus years riding experience, dragging knee on pocket bikes. yeah, nuff said, wear your gear and make it more than just a helmet.
