What year ZX-6R is the same as the new ZZR600?

What year ZX-6R is the same as the new ZZR600?
I know the ZZR600 is pretty much exactly one of the older versions of the ZX6R. Since the zzr600 is a good starter bike, I assume the same would apply for the older ZX6R.. so what years should I look for?

If my memory is right i think it's a 1992 zx6r that is the same as the new zzr. But i'm sure some one else could help you out better than me on ethat one.

Hey im know expert but i do believe it is the 2001 zx 6r.
