Default what a bummer

Ive mentioned in another thread that my sister inlaw got a new rebel the other week well...
My wife and her took the msf saftey course to get their permits and last week we went to an empty parking lot to do some practice, all went well at parking lot speeds. today we went back to same lot and my wife was doin some circles pretty well and shifting to 2nd gear and back to first ok. while she was practicing turning left and right from a stop ( you know like when your at a corner stopped and turning into traffic) she got about halfway turned and said her glove got stuck on throttle and when she tried to fix gave it gas just for a second, that made her wobbly so she pulled the clutch and she stuck out her legs to catch herself at about ten mph or so and got the bike stopped. Didnt look to bad but the bike was leaning slightly to kickstand side and down she goes at a stop. I run over and pick the bike up off her and shes not happy and in pain, anyway go2 emergeny room and apparently jammed her leg hard while it was straight cuz she broke her tibia just below knee and tore acl tendons we gotta see a specialist to find out how bad it is tommorow. dont think she woulda dropped bike at all if it wasnt the same side as hurt leg.Man do i feel bad for her.

oh man. That sucks. I feel bad for her too. Just learning how to ride, and get more comfortable on the sled, and blam.

Do you think she is going to get discouraged now from riding?

Sorry, tell here from us not to be discouraged. It can happen to anyone. Just be there for her and support her in this time. Let us know how things go.

Thanks for the support. Yea so basically in a bunch of medical mumbo jumbo her knees screwed, 3 breaks on the top of her tibea havnt decided bout plates and screws, to swollen to cast, and cant bear any weight at all for bout 2-3 months. she,s pretty mad at the moment but im sure she will continue her riding practice and has her sights set on a 250 ninja. She did make me stop before we got to emergency room to remove her boots she was like there is no way im gonna let those guys cut off and ruin my SIDIs so
im sure she will try again. on the good side i think her acl is not torn as previously thought

well its been a couple weeks and shes getting around better.. a buddy called me up and said i could get a good deal on his older 250 ninja and the wife says she wants it. shes a little scared but still wants to try again said she was feeling pretty good on the rebel in the parking lot till that happened. so im goin to get it this week and she will have all winter to pimp it out and make it hers and try again in the spring. and if it turns out she doesnt like it im sure i can find a way to have some fun with it
