Just bought a 2005 ZX6R 636 with a hotbodies exhaust on it. Somewhere during a couple hour ride, the undertail came off the bike. I haven't found a place that will sell the piece without the exhaust coming with it. $550 is a lot for an undertail...




Any ideas??

I called hotbodies and they said the parts are discontinued. They have a couple full systems in stock but that puts me back at buying the $700 system again. I don't need the exhaust, just the undertail that comes with it.. sigh

 

that blows, can you make one ?

 

I'm thinking making one is my only option. Does anybody have an undertail that they think would be able to fit? Any 636 undertail should fit, but I need to be able to cut 2 holes in it.

Anybody have any idea which undertail could work??

 

make a template out of sheet metal or aluminum then break out the glass. the holes will be easy to make.

 

Just buy a rear set of race glass.

 

that still wont cover the hot bodies exhaust

 

hmm, maybe I am not 100% sure on what a hotbodies exhaust looks like.
