Here in Florida it's the same as driving without a license, even if you have a car license.
2nd degree misdemeanor and a night in jail or something like that.
In most cases, the judge will drop it if you agree to go get your license within a certain time frame, but not always.

I think in Washington state, (deej back me up here.) a new law passed which states that your bike WILL be impounded if you are stopped without having a motorcycle endorsement. (By will, I mean MANDATORY, no ifs or buts about it.) I think in all 50 states an officer can use his/her judgment whether or not to impound your bike and give you a ticket.
Bottom line, get your endorsement and you won't have to worry about what might happen if you get stopped.
