Wearing a leather jacket will keep you cool when it's that hot.

Especially when wearing under armor or something similar.

I'm serious. I experienced this when I took my Eliminator from Augusta to Birmingham. I was sweating, but the jacket trapped the sweat, and the wind blowing up my sleeves made it downright cold. I know, it's counterintuitive, but it really does work like that.

Actually, the MIDWEST hasn't seen too %#$^ much of it either, this summer!!!! [:@]
You guys are lucky - sunny breaks are few and far between here this year. Last weekend was nice though.

And as for riding in rain - when I was taking my course I went down when it was raining... pouring actually. Now I'm like heading home whenever I spot a cloud, lol

Don't let one bad experience spook you. Bikes actually do better in the rain than cars do. It's just a little more uncomfortable.

Agreed completely ifa good performance tire is used and standing water is avoided. Just tonight (8:30 pm) I wascaught in a downpour on my 92 Ninja. It was in Daytona Beach on a road that is easily flooded and slippery.I had a mirrored lense on my helmet. Even though the road sucked, I could easily and safely obtain more lateral and accelerative g's than my fairly fast car can in completely dry weather. Although, the rear of mybike is riding on Dunlop Sport Qualifiers whereas my car just uses high-performance all seasons.

The only thing that Itruly and honestly worry about killing me in rainy weather is other drivers. My visibility is reduced to levels I'm not comfortable with.

Forget rain. Today the temperature was around freezing point (0 deg. Celsius). This adds to a whole new experience - I skidded on black ice, and I wasn't even turning or accelerating! I figure the riding season is over.
