need HELP with FAIRINGS!
Im looking to buy new fairings for my bike due to damage on the stock ones. I want to get some opinions on ebay fairings that are aftermarket? Whats the quality of them compared to OEM. Im just hesitant on buying OEM just because of the insane prices. Basically i need the front, rear and whole left side. If anyones purchased any let me know what you think or if there are any legit sites to check out??
thanks!

The Ebay aftermarkets are a good choice for redoing the whole bike, but there are issues.
#1 Aftermarkets and OEMs dont mix, you have to buy all aftermarkets or all OEM
#2 Aftermarket paint does not match the tank
#3 Aftermarkets are easy to spot
#4 Aftermarkets hurt your resell (A buyer will wonder just how much damage your ride took if you replaced everything)
If you plan on keeping your ride for a while and just want to cover the bike up then go for it, but if you plan on reselling I'd spend the extra $$$

damnn..Im torn haha. My idea would be to wet sand an clear coat a few times then buff, on the aftermarket ones in hope that they would turn out fairly nice looking! im just nervous on spending so much for the OEM

Most aftermarkets come pre painted, you would just have to get the paint to match. If you got the primed ones and put a stock paint job and stickers on it would be difficult to tell the difference between AMs and OEMs until you got close, but stock paints could end up costing you almost as much as OEM plastics. Whatever you do brotha, make damn sure the tank matches, or it will throw off the whole look.

You might get lucky & find a genuine set on ebay from someone that has fitted race fairings to a bike & has some good condictions take-offs.. other than that, as prom says, you need to spray the lot to match the tank, if not you will end up with a mis-match that will hurt your re-sell value.. Also, a lot of the aftermarket fairings can be a bugger to fit, even when they say they are a 'direct' fit.
