Default kawasaki Eliminator

Some advice my cousin has an Eliminator 600 I believe it is a 97 year model. The bike has been sitting up and the rear end is locked up on the bike. The bike is shaft drive. I am thinking about picking that bike up from him. Can anyone give some advice on what I might be able to do to free up the rear end? Or does anyone know what all parts I will need and what a job like that will cost me? I know the bike isn't worth that much and don't want to put way more into it than it is worth but don't mind putting some money into it because I remember the bike was a good running little bike.

Welcome to KF

Hit up your favorite parts fiche site and mentally visualize if that is a good project or not for the cash. Good luck.
