Default Insurance

Thought id share my experiance with bike insurance. I was paying a little over $50 a month for insurance on my 650R. I just bought a ZX-6R and called my insurance company to take off the 650 and put on the ZX. They tell me its going to cost about $150 a month. Now I knew its a higher performing machine but that price seemed a little high. I was told the only thing I could do to lower it was increase my deductible and still the lowest I could get it was $120.

So I decided to apply for a new insurance policy with the same company online, quoted me $43 a month for the ZX. WTF I thought so I called the company and they couldnt give me a reason for it and actually got kinda pissed.

Anyway I went with the new policy and in the end I got it even lower about $40 a month. If your insurance seems high try applying for a whole new policy it might help.

I had that same issue. I am a young kid (45) and the company that I have had for 15 yrs for my home and autos wanted $2k plus a year! (this was on my 10r only) I said wth and switched. $53/month and $150 deductible full coverage with another company.
