Default how to clean brushed titanium?

So my full muzzy has brushed titanium head and mid pipes... there is a little bit of "staining" for lack of better words that I want to get off, and a rag and de-greaser isn't cutting it. Briefly gave a wire brush an thought, but that would tear it up and be far more abrasive than what should go on there. Someone suggested steel wool... anything else?

Titanium forms an oxide that helps protect similar to Aluminum. Oxides turn to a darker shade of color. Is this what you are referring to?
