Well, after keeping an eye on Craigslist for a couple months, I finallygot my first bike this week.It's a 1993 Honda Nighthawk 250, black with 9000 miles. Picked it up for $800.No pics yet, sorry. The body is average, the mechanicals are very clean, andit could usea new rear tire. Other than that, it's ready to roll.

I did want a Ninja 250 or 500, but right now I am just looking for something super cheap to learn on, so I will get one of those later.The Hondahas a really comfortable riding position, since it's a standard bike.It's nice toknow I can get what I paid for it (if not more) when I upgrade.

Just wanted to thank you guys for all your help on some of my n00b threads. I have all my gear, my lerner's permit, insurance coverage (with UMBI and UMPD!), and I am taking an MSF course in 2 weeks.

Now all I have left to do is get out there, ride safe, and have fun!

 

cool... ride safe... i picked up an older honda cb750 for 600$ with 6600 miles on it.... thing runs like a champ. Post up a pic.
