I use the bel ray fluid.... I thought I remember reading somewhere that DOT5 fluid, silicone fluid, has a tendency to hold moisture, compared to DOT4 or DOT 5.1.....

This bike was horrible at weak brakes, and brake fade...... Changed the pads, fluid and now shes all better..... When I installed the SS brake lines, front only, it didn't make that much of a difference at all on mine, in brake feel anyway. But it looks pretty. lol

Silicone DOT 5 fluid can't be used in anything that wasn't originally designed to use it. It does not absorb water but is a compressible fluid so would not give good brake feel.
