I pucrchased a new 2009 Ninja 250 last Feb and have been riding it trouble free ever since. That was until yesterday. Im not sure if this was a one time hiccup or what. I was stopped turning left from a busy intersection onto a side street. When I took off to turn, the bike felt like it was in second gear instead of first and may have very well been in second. I throttled up the rpms and took off just fine. I went about 1/3 of a mile and the bike died on me. I tried to start it several times and it would not start. I turned off the key and sat there on the side of the road for a about 3 minutes and attempted it one more time and it started. I have had no more problems since. Could I have flooded it when I throttled up in second gear or any other suggestions on what may have happened.

 

is it carbed or FI? if its carbed u could have flooded it out.

 

Monitor the progress vic to see if it does or does not happen again. Flooding is possible, floats sticking or some sediment in the bowls may be an issue as well.

 

could be bad fuel...water in the system...sounds like it got flooded...
