for whats it's worth i recently crashed and my KBC helmet took a nasty hit but it held up pretty good. the cheaper helmets like KBC,HJC save your life just as good as the more expensive helmets. that's my two cents.

I went down on a ZX10 @ 50mph. I was side swiped by a SUV. I did have post concussion syndrome for about 3mos. I was wearing a cheap Fulmer helmet. I recently bought an ICON Perimeter Domain on Ebay. It lists new for $350. I was patient and got it at 100.00. Even if I have to pay full price, I think I'll go with a more expensive helmet from now on. After all you have to live in that helmet each time you ride, might as well have a nice one.

hmm, I agree. Helmets and gear are a must have. Fortuneatly I was not cookoo for 3 months, but 4 hrs was enough for me. I think it was only a 90mph head first through the screen get off. But it still hurt. Wiped out the screen and made a nice little scratchon the helmet. Spit dirt and rocks for a minute. hmm that sucked also. Anytime I can play in the90 range and only get some leather repairs or yes a new helmet. I am game.

I just replaced my HJC with an OGK FF4. The FF4 is very light and it's made in Japan. I usually wear a large but they run 1 size smaller and I'm wearing an XL. It's a very quiet light weight helmet with nice graphics. there are some handy tear off ***** on the visor and the vision is awesome. Reviews on this helmet were pretty high and the price was relatively cheap compared to the other big name brands. Bang for the buck - the FF4 has to be considered one of the best.

I was wearing a OGK in my accident, it saved my life... i landed headfirst and it took a chunk out of the face of the helmet (better than a chunk out of my face i guess). They were light and comfortable, and worth it.

I am now buying a new Arai helmet, i was at the shop and tried on all their helmets... Arai was by far the most comfy, and has some wicked designs.

Here is what im getting
