Painting passenger helmet ???
I have a spare helmet for my passengers to use when they ride it is a little beat up and is about the ugliest set of colors you could imagine so I want to repaint it. I am torn between flat black and orange to match the bike. I am a painting retard and was wondering what everyone thought of me going and getting a cheap airbrush and painting it. I can also use all the help that anyone wants to throw my way. BTW here is a pic of the bike and the orange I will need to match if I go that route.

I know they make airbrushes for model cars also they make spray paint for them. maybe try the spray can thing. I know when i use to build model cars they had some cool colors out. Or maybe do the airbrush thing that way you could get the colors you want. Either way isn't hard just take your time and do light coats intill you get it to where you want it to be.
Just my opinion .....if it were me I would go with flat black spray paint .That way if it gets a little scuffed up you can just spray a little dab on it and move on .It's just for the occasional rider .........right ? Chances are you might have a hard time finding that color of orange without having it mixed .
I wouldn't do it. Painting your helmet would most likely be bad for it, as far as its ability to protect the rider goes.
Not to mention, an ugly helmet will stand out more than a slick matte black one, and make you easier to see.
Might want to try one of those Moose Helmet Skins, those seem like a good way to freshen up a used helmet.
