I'm new to motorcycles and just bought my first helmet today. After reading posts in different KF forums, I decided not to cheap out and went with the HJC AC-12 Carbon Fiber helmet for $280. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with this helmet or HJC helmets in general? The list price on this helmet is $420, but did I overpay even at this price? All opinions would be greatly appreciated!

 

I don't have any experiences with HJC, but I looked at buying one a while back. I remember it having fairly good reviews. As for the price, it sounds like you got a decent deal out of it.

I have an HJC helmet for the bike and also for my fourwheeler. I really like both of them. The only complaint I have is with the bike helmet the cheek pads seem to be a bit snug but still fits great

 

Never worn a HJC street helmet but there Dirt bike helmets i wore for many many years when i raced supercross

 

My first helmet was an HJC I picked up for $90 when I bought my Ninja. I now use an Arai Profile helmet because it's more comfortable and I feel that it's a lot better quality overall. The way I see it is you get what you pay for and there's no way I'd cheap out on my cranium. [:'(]

... but overall I feel HJC isn't a bad helmet at all.
