Coolest jackets?
Im in the market for a jacket, I just picked up a Ninja 500R last week and will be driving it 100 miles a day every mon/wed/friday for school in the hot Texas sun. I need something thatll keep my cool on my drive there. Should I go with textile or leather? I'm somewhat on a budget so $200 is preferable, absolutely can not go about $250 shipped. If I really need to get a better jacket than what that could buy, is there something rather cheap I could do for now and pick up a better one later on. Just have a lot of expenses right now with insurance and TTL along with the bike plus all my normal bills.
Thanks guys.

Maybe something like this for now until I can afford a better one in a couple months?

Filedsheer has a very nice Johnny Cool mesh jacket ( I do have one by the way ....wear it a lot !!!! ) , also take a look at the Teknics Chicane jacket , its a mostly leather jacket, leather would be best and you can get perforated leather which will allow some air flow .Check withbiker performance here on the site they are one of the site sponsors and also contact suprakawigrl , she is a member here on the site and can get apparel .I just got a pair of JR leather riding pants from her she was able to beat everyone'sprice . Hope this helps
icon field armor vest and elbow gards have protection just like in a jacket but way more cooler and you can pick up both for about 150 bucks depending on where you get them from.
If you want a cool "temperature-speaking" jacket, I'd recommend a textile with good armor, especially if you're on a budget (aren't we all?) You may want to upgrade the armor (I'm not a fan of styrofoam-like CE stuff) to actually protect you. Go to the armor section at NewEnough.com.
However, like some of the posts already mention, perf leather is probably the best for heat and protection (again; get good armor.) It's going to be a bit more pricey (typically), but sometimes you get what you pay for.
My 2-cents.
