Default Buying Gloves

I started looking for a pair of gloves that I can buy to give me protection and keep my hands warm over the winter. I found a pair of icon gloves as seen here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Icon-...9586QQtcZphoto

I wanted to know if anyone has a pair of these and if they look good for their price.

Also, I tried some gloves on today to gauge the size I need and when I tried putting on a large, there was a bit of space between my fingers and the tips of the glove, however, it was comfortable. When I tried on a pair of mediums, it was a bit tighter however,my fingers reached the ends, and they felt snug. I was just wondering, would it be better to go with the mediums because wouldnt they stretch anyway?

Its my first pair, so I don't really know too much so any advice would help. Thanks.

You probably wear a size 8 1/2 or 9. I have the same problem. Remember, gloves will "loosen-up" a bit over time. Snug is good; tight is not. (Kinda like a helmet.)
Try newenough.com. They seem to really care about their customers and will work to make sure you're happy. Good prices, too.

I wear Gerbings G3 heated gloves. Works great when riding under 25 degrees. Would NEVER go back to anything else.

Heated gloves, eh? That's kinda sweet. Are they water proof? Ya, just checked. Those gloves offer minimal protection. Soft leather like that will tear away pretty quickly against pavement.

Thanks for all your inputs guys. I'm starting the MSF course in the second week of December so I'm going to buy the gloves real soon. If anyone's interested, I'll post up what I will buy.

I bought Alpinestarts DRYSTAR gloves. They keep my hands warm driving in 45* weather for an hour...not too shabby.

Good heated motorcycle gloves are going to cost upwards of $200.

So I finally received the gloves I purchased. I wound up buying the white icon merc long gloves. They feel very comfortable and the grip feels very good as well. I find the appearance to be very cool and not overly flashy. And the price of $75 brand new would not allow me to pass them up. Additionally, it seems that the gloves offer sufficient protection, however, I hope that I will never have the opportunity to find out how protective they really are lol. Overall, I think that these gloves are awesome and worth buying. Just remember one thing about this review, I have no previous experience in regard to motorcycle gloves since this is my first pair, nevertheless, they seem to be perfect. Thanks to everyone who helped me make a decision.
