top dead center help?

Default top dead center help?

i have a 01 kawasaki mojave 250 quad

i need to adjust my valves but dont know how to find top dead center

i know how to do it just not what marks to look for or to line up

any help is appreciated

If all else fails, take a long Philips screwdriver and put the pointy-end in your cylinder spark plug hole. Hand turn the engine until you find the absolute TDC; may have to do some "back-and-forth" until you're sure. Make a chalk or permanent marker line-up marking on whichever side of the case you have open---on both the moving parts AND your engine case. (Look for any existing markings of the same kind.....might be an "A-HA; there they are!" moment.)
Yes; maybe crude, but it works. Let us know how the surgery goes...
