Default Radar Detector Mount Location

Here's a pic of where I have my Radar Detector mounted. I just used the suction cups that it came with and the botton rests on top of my guages. Very secure!

you just get some extra wire and tie it into the battery or a fuse?

does it work just as good through the tinted wind screen?
Can you hear it or do you just look for the light?

i've been thinking about putting one on my bike.

It will work fine behind the dark wind screen.

No, the wires were long enough. I just bought a power outlet adapter and wired in in to my fusebox. There's a power terminal that's energized only when you turn on the key. I plugged a spade terminal to it for the positive and grounded it to the battery for the negative.

You can power it directly from the battery or hook it up to an accessory power source so it come on only when the ignition is on. The fuse box had an empty 12Vpositive spot with a spade terminal that you can plug into. The negative can ge grounded to the battery or a good ground on the frame. Get a12 volt cigarrette lighter adapterpower outlet from Wal-Mart or Radio Shack or ?. This way it's multi purpose.
