Default HOW TO GET GP (REVERSE SHIFTING)

OK IVE POSTED ON ALOT OF OTHER THREADS THIS HOW TO AS WELL BUT HERE IT IS MANY PPL WERE WONDERING HOW TO GET GP OR REVERSE SHIFTING ON UR BIKE THIS IS 1 UP AND 5 DOWN. THIS WORKED ON MY 01 ZX6R

IT IS VERY EASY AND ILL TAK YOU THROUGH THIS STEP BY STEP.

1ST IS TAKE OFF THE BOLT ON THE CLAMP CONECTING TO YOUR GEAR SHAFT.

2ND IS TAKE OFF YOUR GEAR COVER SHOULD BE 5 BOLTS IF IM NOT MISTAKIN.

3RD TAKE OFF THE CLAMP CONNECTING TO YOUR GEAR SHAFT AND ADJUST IT TO ABOUT 11 OCLOCK.

4TH PUT THE GEAR COVER BACK ON WITHOUT TAKING OFF THE CLAMP KICK YOUR SHIFTER DOWN TO MAKE SURE IT WILL KICK INTO FIRST WITHOUT HITTING YOUR GEAR COVER.

5TH TAKE THE COVER BACK OFF AND PUT THE BOLT BACK ON THE CLAMP AND TIGHTEN IT.

6TH PUT THE GEAR COVER BACK ON AND BOLT IT BACK ON

7TH IS LOOSEN THE TWO NUTS ON THE SHIFTER BAR AND ADJUST TO MOVE UR PEG WERE YOU FEEL IS COMFORTABLE.THEN TIGHTEN THE TWO NUTS

THIS TAKES ABOUT 20 MINS WITH ADJUSTING TO FIT WHATS COMFORTABLE TO YOU. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE I CAN TAKE PICS OF A STEP BY STEP ITS VERY SIMPLE AND WILL WORK ON MOST BIKES.

So what are the gains by doing this? Just curious.

I think it's faster upshifting when you can kick the shifter down rather than pull it up.

I changed mine back to stocktoday.I like reverse shifting better, but the bike didn't like it[&o]I think the motion was all wrong because the linkage is toolevel and there is not enough leverage toshift correctly. If you guys are doing this be very carefulnot to be too rough with the kinkage, it is very soft aluminum. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until I get some better rearsets to switch it around again.
