I poured it down the storm drain around the corner.

JK, I actually poured it back into its container and when the city has a hazardous waste round up I will take it there. Gotta help keep cali clean bro.

there is still some debate over using kerozene to clean the chain. They say the kerosene can wick past the o-rings and thin or wash out the lube inside the rollers. most of the magazine write ups i've read have said this.

I use a lubricant that disolves grime and even rust. it also prevents rust better than pretty much anything i've ever tried. it stopped the engine bay in my car from rusting after i drove it around on the beach and got salty sand all up in it.

it disolves rust so well that i've had it free up pulleys on lawn equipment that was rusted SOLID. its also harmless to paint/ rubber/ plastic, etc.

use the spray lube for periodic treatment of the chain, and get a gallon of the stuff and leave it in a bucket with a lid int he garage for whenever you want to soak the chain or any rusty bolts etc.
