I still like knocking the heads off of the link prior to breaking with the die grinder (prolly a habit).

thanks notstock for the tutorial. i'm a ride virgin, but i've been riding bit*h since i was about 2 years old, everyone i know and their dogs has a bike and i'm looking to get my first before my birthday on st. patty's day this year. all of this information is great to know before hand. so when the time arises i'm ahead of the game lol. also thanks to kohburn for theadded info, a second opinion is always appreciated. thanks again guys.

ps, that was like some kind of sexy chain enema lol, looks hot.

What else would you all suggest besides TC-11 and Kerosene?
What about degreasers?
I'm gonna try some tc-11

are you talking about grinding the "burr" off the end of the pin before you remove it? if so, i agree. makes it easier to remove.
i also get nervous about the pin staying put once i put it back together, so usually use vise grips to gnar the ends of the pin so it can't work its way backout.

I got my chain cleaned lubed using kerosene and chain wax
thanks to this thread its much pimper
I dont understand whyyou all would "cut" or "grind" anything on the chain
I dont see a need

What happened to Mad Kaw? sorry to ask
