So this is my first bike, and I picked it up for
cheap because it was stolen from the previous owner and recovered a few weeks later. The ignition was drilled out and it currently is hotwired. First question, how difficult is it to install a new ignition switch assembly on a scall of 1-10 Second question, the gas tank is being held on only by the rear bolt. And the front bolts don't want to line up with the corresponding holes. Is there a peice missing or am I just not doing something right or wrong?
Only way I figure out was zipping the frame . I was pulling parts for another bike. Drill off caps and the iggy will pull off. Vise gripe and twist out the bolts. Take notice of length and replace with allen bolts. I did this on a scrap bike , use a hand drill the pressed bolts are a soft metal. Just need to drill til the pressed cap is removed.
