Default muzzy pipe

i bought a 97 zx7 last summer to fool around on, it came with the stainless muzzy system, the guy who owned it before me didnt take very good care of the upkeep, the canister has that kinda milky look to it, my question is can you re-polish a muzzy can i have a buffer, wheel and the dry polish, but does that canister have anything like a clear coat on it or anything???? maybe ill just pull it off and do a test spot?!?!

Answers to your questions. 1. yes, if it's stainless, yes, if it's aluminum, very doubtful if chrome. 2. Depends on the answer to question #1.
You may try the test spot. If it's chrome-gone-bad, about the only way to bring it back to life is to re-chrome.
Congrats on the 7. I love the mid-late 90's 7's and 9's. Excellent all around sport bikes without the hard edge.
Keep us posted on your cannister.

I would not think that a Stainless Can will have a coating.
