Help when my bike gets hot and i shut it off the head light will not come back on i heard that it could be the switch,reserv lighting part# 27010-1066. hte bike is sold and the part is 108$ can it be by pass.

 

Anything can be bypassed. But it wont look the same and a wirring digram would help you a bit to know the color of high beam low beam and negative. Have you taken the old switch apart to clean with cotact cleaner?
How many miles are on the bike? Do you ride in the rain alot or wash the bike with water often? Are you up north were salt is or by the coast? Any of these can cause corrosion in the housing of the switch damaging the electric contacts. Keep me posted I will cheak back tomorrow

 

I just found this site. Your question is a bit old, but here is an answer.

The Concours headlight does not come on until the motor is running. There is a sense lead that keeps it off until the motor is started.

Just though you might like to know that.
