I haven't dug into the KZ yet, but I will need to mess with the carbs again. I was never able to remove the main jet on the #4 carb barrel the last time I had the carbs out. It was really seized up in there since the idiot before me didn't have a gasket on the #4 bowl letting the internals air out, and causing the gas to varnish. All I could do at the time was spray a crap-load of carb cleaner into the jet passage hoping it would take care of everything... It didn't.

Anyone have any good ideas on getting out a stuck jet without F*cking up anything? The bottom of the jet is already somewhat damaged from trying to remove it last time. I think I may have to use a dremel to cut a straight grove into it.

If that doesn't work, I guess it's on to ebay for some new carbs.[:'(]

If possible man, let it sit and soak in a b12 solution overnight. If that doesn ot free it up, I don't know what will...

Good news! I got the jet out.

I made a mistake in the prior post. It was the pilot jet that was seized, not the main. (although the #4 main jet was a bit dirty too when I checked it.) I ended up using the good ol' dremel tool to cut a groove into the top of the retainer screw, and out it came!

Here is a pic showing how messed up that head was:

Yeah, I went through all the carbs again when I took the carbs off for a second time. I did get the rebuild kits, but it was through a private seller on ebay.

Oldbikebarn's prices were at almost the same, but I had money in my paypal account waiting to be spent.

Tea I bet those puppies are clogged. Glad you were able to get the pilot out. Even has brass floats, nice.
