Default fuel shut down

i have a 2002 kawasaki vulcan classic 800. at the start of the day i can fill the tank up but can only ride about 70 75 miles and it goes to shut down. now when you get it pulled over and restart it and runs great and start going down the road again and it shuts down again. if you refuel to a full tank your good again for another 70 75 miles before it starts shutting down again> please help!!!!

Vacuum actuated petcock going bad? I don't know your bike, but that happens with my KLR model. Check the petcock vacuum diaphragm. Or it could be a tank vent. Open the tank lid and see if that helps.

First guess is a faulty cap seal.
