Default float needle sticks vin800A

my wife has a 2000 Vulcan vin 800A her needle sticks in the seat i have replaced the needle and clead out the seat several times and it will run fine for a while then if it sets more than a couple of days the needle sticks in the off position we have gone thru several differnt tanks of fuel so it is not that is anyone else seen this and any help would be great...

I am curious to know if you have checked :
the breather pipe (fuel return pipe for the CA model) is clogged. Check the tank cap breather also.
from the supplement manual

With compressed air but not into the air vent holes according to the manual. "That could damage and clogging of the labyrinth in the cap."

Inspect the cap gasket too.
