So i just purchased a mint condition 2001 Vulcan 800 Classic. I love the bike, buti would like a little more sound out of the exhaust. What have you guys tried for exhaust out there and do you like it? What about punching out the factory baffles? is this an option? Any tips on doing that?

Hey Jeff,

I just purchased a 2001 Vulcan 800 also. It's a standard Vulcanthough, notthe Classic.
Anyway, the previous owner had the baffles removed form the factory pipes and it sounds great. It's so much louder than I expected. I live in an apartment complex, so my neighbors are going to hate me!
Unfortunately, I'm having issues with the carb so I haven'tbeen able to ride much.

Father in law has a 01 800 Classic with V&H exhaust, sounds good.

I have the V&H straight shots on my 800-sounds awesome. Little loud for my neighbours but then again I don't really care much for most of my neighbours.
