Default carb situation

Hello all. I just joined on since I have a 1999 VN800 and thought this was a pretty cool site. I have a quick question about my carburator. My dang bike starts and runs great with the choke pulled out but as soon as it goes in my bike just does not want to run- hot or cold. Happened a few weeks ago so I bought some carb cleaner. I thought that fixed it but its happening again. I'm getting really frustrated because I want to ride!!!!!

Welcome to the forums.
My first thought is to remove the carbs and thoroughly clean them by hand. The enrichener circuit is messed up from the sounds of it. ie, needs better cleaning.
