Default 2003 Classic 1600 Very Stiff Clutch handle

Just bought a 2003 Vulcan 1600 Classic. Clutch was slipping so i ordered and eBay kit with the Barnett spring. Now the clutch pull is unbearable. I know the Barnett spring is stiff but it can’t be this stiff. I nearly need two hands on it. Also the guy before me out shorty levers on it. When I put stock levers on it the pull wasn’t long enough to disengage the clutch all the way. I had to put the shorty levers back in to get enough pull to dis engage it. All the steels in the new kit were 2mm. The old one are all between 1.89 and 1.95 which means they were likely 2 new. Anyone have any idea here?

Sounds like the clutch cable may be binding.
