Default Kawa Windshield

I recently added a Kawasaki F&I Classic adjustable winshield to my 2007 1500 Classic. However at over 40 miles an hour I experience some buffeting. I believe the wind is coming over the top of the windshield and hitting me just the top of my head. This causes my sunglasses to shake up and down to such a degree that I'm nearly blinded.

The windshield is adjustable from 16 to 18 inches and the problem occurs at all heights but seems a little better at the maximum or minimum heights.

Any suggestions? I can't imagine that I installed it incorrectly as it just bolts on.

Thanks for the help.

Had the same problem on my 1996 Classic 1500. Especially when I wore a helmet. Eyes would shutter so bad that it was hard to read road signs. Ride a 2004 Nomad now and it is alot better, but there is windshield lowers on this bike. Still get a little though when I wear a helmet. Try some windshield lowers, it will help.

lowers make all the difference, air coming under shield & over tank.
put some on my 1500, buffetting all but stopped.

Rite the lowers help, before I couldn't even keep sunglasses or a cellphone in my shirt pocket, they would blow out, my lowers look like crap, but work good.
