Carb troubles
installed dynojet stage 1 carb kit in my 2007 zzr600, put in biggest main jets that came with the kit. Now the motor seems to float down after acceleration.it seems to slowly work its way back down the rpms. checked throttle cables and return spring. took it all back apart and followed the instructions again to recheck my work, but i'm out of ideas.
Also can the dealership sinc the carbs and put them on the flow bench or do i need to take the whole bike in? i hope i dont have to go that far and someone has an easy fix. any help would be greatly appreciated.

see the weird thing is stock main jets it came with 157's in the middle and 155's on the outsides the dynojet kit comes with 114's,116's,118's,120's and 122's right now i have the 120s and the 122s in i dont think its flooding but i dont know, it just seems like one or more of the carbs are open when the throttle is supposed to be closed. could this be fixed by getting the carbs sinc'ed?

Being a 2007 the carbs shouldn't be that far off in the first place, especialy if it ran decent before the change. Have you tried contacting Dynojet? My only carb exp is with old Hondas, and from what you describe it sounds like you put in smaller jets so it's starving for fuel, but chances are good that I don't know what I'm talking about, so a second opinion would be helpful. And a carb sync should be able to be performed with the carb rack off the bike.

i called out to b&b cycle and a mechanic said it was running lean, he said to check the diaphrams because one might not be sealed. if not i might just put the lower jets back in and run it till winter then i can have it worked on and not miss any ride time

so friday i went to check everything and try to fix it but, i didnt have a problem anymore
i rode around for probably an hour and i could not get the carbs to act up this sounds weird to say but its almost like it fixed itself... after my ride i came back and adjusted the air/fuel screw and it runs good now ( it could be better ) so i guess i'll ride it as is untill i have problems
i went to kawasaki.com and looked through the parts diagrams so i know i changed the right jets... idk its just weird i've never had a problem like this working on carbs

zzrick what did you put back in for main jets, and did you adjust anything else?
one of my buddies said to take the needle back out and move the c-clip back one notch for more fuel right away. just wondering if you played around with the carbs and if you've heard of doing this.
the motorcyle shop said it will be at least a week before they can even look at it since sturgis is coming up.

I haven't messed with them, after the install. With the filter, exhaust, sprockets, and jetkit mine will stand right up so I haven't been wanting for any more power lately. Now I just need to look forward to a 10R maybe next year :-)
