Perhaps, but it wasn't designed for home defense. It was designed for point-blank CARJACKER defense. They also showed the damage the 4-10 shot would do firing that out the passenger window from the driver's seat. I kinda made 2-3 inch holes in the target. I agree with your point about it not being practical for home defense where you could be firing from several feet away. They even acknowledged that fact in the video and stated that beyond the close quarters of your car/truck it wouldn't be affective. But when you fire it at someone who's no more then 2-3 feet away it becomes extremely affective at giving them more holes to breath out of.

 

One good thing about using it for home defense, would be if you miss you don't kill someone in the next room like you can with a slug. Even double 0 buck has passed through a house wall and killed people inside.

 

The Taurus Judge caught my attention in Riflemen magazine. A revolver that shoots both a center fire bullet or 4.10 shotgun shell. That was smart thinking. Too bad it was not compact enough to conceal. Not only that, next time I'm in the backwoods. I now have a .44mag to carry.
