Well the time has come to finally adjust the valves on the ole '98 KLX 300. I'm 99% sure the valves have never been touched. I measured them last weekend and 2 of them are tight.
Any idea what thickness the shims are that the KLX300 came stock with?
I assume they would all be a little different, but they should be close.
Also what size shims do I need? 9mm?
If you can help get me close I can get them from the local MC shop, then install what I need. Thank you!

 

My 250 started with 3.0 all the way around...others might be different.
We need to know what the clearance is on each valve and the shim size you have in there now, to figure out what you'll need.
Get a micrometer to measure them, if you can't read the number on them.
The shims are 7.48mm.
